50 Days of School

Friday, October 20 is the 50th day of school for our kindergarten students! We encourage all kindergarteners to dress up in 50s style. Celebrating the big 50  goes along with our Social Studies standard:  SS.K.A.2.1: Compare children and families of today with those in the past; and our Math standard MA.K.NSO.2.1: Recite the number names to 100 by ones and by tens.

Candy Donations

Save the date - out annual Booktacular family night at the Book Fair will be on Thursday, October 26. We are in need of candy donations. Individually wrapped candy can be dropped off at Dr. Robinson’s office. Please help us make our family night a little bit sweeter!

Out of Field Teachers

Pursuant to Section 1012.42, Florida Statutes, a parent whose student is assigned an out-of-field teacher may request that his or her child be transferred to an in-field classroom teacher within the school and grade in which the student is currently enrolled.  The school principal must approve or deny the parent’s request and transfer the student to a different classroom teacher within a reasonable period of time, not to exceed 2 weeks, if an in-field teacher for that course or grade level is employed by the school and the transfer does not violate the maximum class size pursuant to s. 1003,03 and s.1, Art. IX of the State Constitution.  If a request for transfer is denied, the school will notify the parent and specify the reasons for the denial. This does not provide a parent the right to choose a specific teacher.

To request a transfer for your child pursuant to the above provisions, please contact the school guidance counselor or school principal.

School Safety

All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
