Welcome to another week, and thank you for reading our newsletter! Just a small number of weeks left prior to the end of the school year - and they are all packed with lots of learning and fun activities as well!

Battle of the Books
We are wishing the best of luck to our Battle of the Books teams who are representing us at the district competition on Tuesday! This event is open to families.
Progress Report Day
Progress Reports are sent home with students on Wednesday, April 17. We are officially halfway through the final grading period of the year!
Swim Unit
Swimming continues this week! Here is the link to our Swim Schedule.
Students who do not have a permission slip on file at the office will attend regular PE classes. Students who are not dressed to participate in the swim unit will attend library class that day (information about appropriate swim attire and changing procedures is included in the permission slips).
After School Tutoring and Events
This is the last week for our after school tutorials. Thank you to all the families who signed up and participated in our tutorial this year!
Math Bowl practices continue as follows:
- 5th Math Bowl (Tuesday)
- 3rd Math Bowl and 4th Math Bowl (Wednesday)
Early Release Day
Friday, April 19 is an Early Release Day and students’ dismissal starts at 11:30 AM.
State Assessments
Here are the dates for the upcoming assessments:
- 05/01-05/24 F.A.S.T. Reading and Math (Grades 4-5)
- 05/01-05/24 STAR Reading and Math (Grades K-2)
- 05/06-05/17 NGSSS Science (Grade 5)
3rd Grade Parents Information Session
An informational session will be held for 3rd grade parents on Tuesday, April 23 to review the upcoming state assessments in 3rd grade. We will discuss students’ promotion criteria and review the sample tests. Save the date!

School Safety
All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
