Welcome to Week 23!
Welcome to another week!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Family Engagement night on Thursday! We had a good time and tacos made it even better. Save the date for the February Family night at our Book Fair on Thursday, February 22!
Out of Field Newsletters
Attention Parents! Our January Out of Field Newsletters are sent home with students on Tuesday, January 30 with students whose teachers are currently out of field in their subject area.
School Supplies
We are more than half-way through the school year, and our beginning of the year supplies are dwindling down. Ask your child’s teachers what supplies are needed the most. Most everyone could use more pencils, dry-erase markers, crayons, glue, colored paper, and of course - tissue paper.
NES School News for Students
We are excited to announce that our Student Council received a grant to start a student newsletter and the first edition is now available electronically! It is all done by students, for students. Check it out!
Social Studies Standards Input
FLDOE is gathering input for the Social Studies standards. These standards should establish the core content to be taught and specify the core content knowledge and skills that K-12 public school students are expected to acquire. Check it out and voice your opinion! https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/7645313/2023-24-Social-Studies-Standards
After School Tutoring
Tutorial continues this week and it takes place on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and/or Thursday based on the sessions that students signed up for.
Individual APTT Meetings
Thank you to everyone who has participated in our Academic Parent Teacher Team meetings. If you have not heard from your child’s teacher yet they will contact you soon to schedule your meeting. These meetings are held to review your child’s mid-year progress.
Valentines Day Sweets Grams
Check out our Valentines Day Sweet Grams fundraisers, organized by 3rd grade!
Jump Rope for Heart
There is still time to donate to Jump Rope for Heart! The event takes place on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 8:15-10:15. There will be music, games, snow cones, a dunk tank, and lots of fun.
