We will be participating in Start with Hello week in efforts to build a more inclusive school community. Check out the daily dress up themes below. We hope everyone will participate!

Fall Fundraiser

It is our Fall Fundraiser time! Gourmet and Holiday Gift Catalogs will be sent home with students this week. Orders along with payments are due by Friday, September 29th. If paying by check, please make checks payable to North Elementary School. Orders can also be submitted online. Our estimated delivery time is early November. As always, students will receive prizes for participating!!!

Just Read, Florida

FLDOE offers a wealth of information on the statewide reading initiative and how it is implemented at schools. Check it out at Just Read, Florida website. Also, here is the direct link to Read-At-Home Plan Resources for the families of students in grades K-3.

PBIS Reward Days

At the conclusion of each grading period students have an opportunity to join the Positive Behavior and Intervention Support (PBIS) reward event. Our first event is just a few weeks away! Students must be in good standing with discipline to attend. Grade level teachers determine eligibility. Students may lose the privilege to participate based on the following criteria:

  • Referral
  • Less than 70% Dojo Percentage
  • Excessive Absences
  • Missing Assignments
  • Teacher Communication with Parent for Unique Circumstances
  • Not Putting Forth Effort for Substitute Teachers

Accelerated Reader Goals

We encourage students to read daily. Some books have tests in the Accelerated Reader program, and students can earn points for taking these tests. AR goals for the first grading period are listed in the flyer above. Our first AR reward event is just weeks away!

All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
