Welcome to Week 35!

Happy Mothers’ Day to all of our NES moms and grandmoms! We hope your day is extra special and full of lots of love!

Thank you for reading our Weekly Memo to stay on top of the most important happenings at NES. With only three weeks of school left, we have a lot to accomplish!

Students in grades K-3 are participating in their end of the year iReady diagnostics assessments, and students in grades 3-5 will be participating in the Florida Standards Assessments.

Florida Standards Assessments

May 10-11 3rd-5th grade Math

May 12-13 5th grade Science

Specific assessment dates for students who receive unique accommodations, vary. Please help us by making sure that students get a good night’s sleep the day prior to their assessment, and they are at school on time. Breakfast is served at school!

We are confident that our students do well on these tests!

Incoming Kindergarteners Registration May 17 and May 19 - Make Your Appointment Today!

Parents of our incoming kindergarten students - we will be holding in person registration on Monday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 19. Please call our data processor Mrs. Cathy Storey at 863-461-5100 to register for your appointment. We ask that our incoming kindergarten students are brought in for a screening at that time as well. Families can complete the online application packet as outlined in the OCSB Kindergarten Roundup Flyer, OR, they can come and pick up a paper packet from our school office this week. Students will NOT be registered until we have the complete enrollment packet along with all the required documents on file.

Zonewaiver Applications are Available

If you have an incoming kindergarten student but you do not live in our zone, you will need to turn in a zonewaiver for the 2021-22 school year. Link to zonewaiver applications: https://forms.gle/eoSMnSzxfKM3c8pd8

Students that are currently on a zone waiver and plan to remain at that school next school year, DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT A NEW ZONE WAIVER.
