Thank you for reading our newsletter! Just a reminder that this will be a short week with a long weekend ahead. Friday, February 17 is an Early Release Day, and there is no school on Monday, February 20 in observance of Presidents’ Day. 

Dismissal Reminder

Effective Monday, February 13 - families who do not have their pickup card will need to go to the front office to do an ID check prior to picking up their child in the parent pickup line. Additional cards can always be requested through the front office. Thank you for allowing us to expedite our pickup and get everyone with the card through the line smoothly!

PTO Meeting  - Monday, February 13

Our PTO will hold a brief meeting to finalize the upcoming Book Fair Family Night plans. We will meet at 4 PM in room 137.

Class Picture Day

Tuesday - February 14 is class pictures day. Dress pretty!

Class pictures order forms will be sent home with students on Monday, February 13.

Valentines Day Information

Valentine's Day is on Tuesday. If you are planning on a delivery for students, please be advised that all deliveries must be in by noon. Glass items, balloons, or exceptionally large items are not allowed on the bus.

Jump Rope for Heart

Jump Rope for Heart will be held on Friday - February 17. As of this week, NES has raised $4,842.50! This is amazing!!!

Here is our Jump Rope for Heart leaderboard:

  • K-Anderson (100% class participation)
  • 1- Jansen
  • 2- Duke / Garcia (tied with 9 students each)
  • 3- McMasters
  • 4- Streelman
  • 5- Pritchard

Spring Book Fair

Our Spring Book Fair on February 17-24. Save the date for the Family Night at the Book Fair for Wednesday - February 22 from 5-6:30 PM. More information to come!

Early Release Day

Friday, February 17 is an Early Release Day. Students’ dismissal starts at 11:30 AM.

Presidents Day - No School

Schools are closed Monday, February 20 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

2022-2023 Yearbooks

2022-2023 yearbooks are now available to order! Orders have to be placed online at https://strawbridge.fotomerchanthv.com/search/YB26733. Pre-Order price is $25 , and ordering deadline is April 14, 2023. Specialized pages can be added for cash or check only (not an online option). Full page ad - $75, 1/2 page ad - $40. Flyers with order forms will be sent home this week.

School Safety

All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
