Welcome to Week 23!
Welcome to a new week! This week marks the half-way point of the third grading period. It is a short week with an early release day on Friday. Let’s make it a good one!
WIDA Testing
WIDA testing starts this week. This assessment is administered to Kindergarten through Grade 12 students who have been identified as English language learners (ELLs). A parent letter explaining the WIDA was sent home last week with students who will be taking this test.
COVID Procedures
The following guidelines for students and staff were shared last week:
- In the event of a positive test result and/or symptoms, students and staff will remain at home for five days from the date of symptom onset. Once these days have passed, students and staff may return to school if they have been fever-free for 24 hours and their other symptoms are improving. It is our recommendation that masks will be worn for days 6-10.
- If a student or staff member wishes to return to work earlier than five days from symptom onset, he or she may do so if they have a note from a healthcare provider or have documented evidence of an existing condition that has symptoms similar to COVID-19.
Progress Reports
Progress Reports will be sent home with students on Thursday, February 3.
Friday is Early Release Day
Students’ dismissal starts at 11:30 AM.
Jump Rope for Heart - Friday, February 4
All donations for the Jump Rope for Heart are due by February 2. The event will take place on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 8:15-10:15. Students who wish to participate should have their parents fill out and return the Youth Consent, Release, and Indemnification form along with a $5.00 donation to the American Heart Association and give to Mrs. Hackett, our PE coach.
