Teachers’ Wish Lists

As we enter the final grading period of the year, our classroom supplies have dwindled down. Please ensure that students continue to come to school prepared and have their pencils, crayons, glue, etc. Classroom teachers will also gladly accept any supply donations for their rooms. Tissues are much needed in all rooms. Thank you for your consideration!

Acaletics Math Spring Break Packets 

Spring break Acaletics math packets were sent home with students on Thursday prior to the Spring Break. Students who return them upon their return from Spring Break will get to participate in a reward event with Mrs. Striebel, our Math Coach! Let’s keep those math skills sharp!!!

NES Talent Show

NES Talent Show will be held on May 18, 2023. Permission slips for students to attend the tryouts and the talent show will go home this week. We cannot wait to see all the talent we have at NES!

Math Bowl and Battle of the Books Practice Sessions

Math Bowl and Battle of the Books practice sessions start this week and are held as follows:

  • Battle of the Books (4th) - Tuesdays 3:15-4:30
  • Battle of the Books (3rd and 5th) - Thursdays 3:15 - 5:00
  • Math Bowl (3-5) - Wednesdays 3:15- 4:15 PM

The events are scheduled as follows:

  • Battle of the Books - April 20
  • Math Bowl - May 15

Spring Pictures

Spring Picture day is Wednesday, March 22. Flyers will be sent home with students on Tuesday. March 21. Kindergarten students will also take their Cap and Gown pictures that day.




Report Card Day

Friday, March 24 is Report Card Day. Award ceremonies for grades 3-5 will be held as follows:

  • 3rd Grade: 8:30 AM
  • 4th Grade: 9:10 AM
  • 5th Grade: 9:50 AM

Students who earned straight A’s will enjoy lunch with the principal!

Kindergarten Registration 

It is time to register all our incoming kindergarten students for the 2023-2023 school year!!! Kindergarten interest letters were sent home with current students on Friday, March 10. Check below for the documents that you can start gathering to be ready for your scheduled appointment on April 10. Please also help us share the word with families in our zone!

2022-2023 Yearbooks

4 more weeks left to order the yearbook!!! Orders have to be placed online at https://strawbridge.fotomerchanthv.com/search/YB26733. Pre-Order price is $25 , and ordering deadline is April 14, 2023. Specialized pages can be added for cash or check only (not an online option). Full page ad - $75, 1/2 page ad - $40. 

AR Star Readers

We cannot wait to celebrate our amazing readers on Friday, March 24! Students who met their 3rd 9 weeks AR goals will get to participate in making a craft with Mrs. Williams!

Our  final AR goals are as follows:

  • KG: Promotion Ready (all letters, sounds, and sight words)

  • 1st Grade: 9 points

  • 2nd-3rd Grade: 12 points

  • 4th-5th Grade: 14 points

School Safety

All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
