Welcome to Week 18!
The final week of school prior to the Winter Break is here! We have many festivities planned to include kindergarten Christmas program, schoolwide dress up days, PBIS celebrations, and more!
We have even heard that there might be a Santa sighting happening at NES on Friday!
Dress Up Days
Dig through your closet and dress in a themed outfit each day this week! Thank you NES Sunshine Committee for organizing the dress up days!
Kindergarten Christmas Program
Our Kindergarten Annual Christmas Program will take place on Thursday, December 16 at 8:30 AM. Parents are invited to attend. Space is limited to two visitors per child. Thank you kindergarten team for helping us make memories at NES!
2nd 9 Weeks PBIS Days
Our PBIS award days take place this week! Students must be in good standing with discipline in order to attend. Additionally, there will be a PBIS drawing among students who have been recognized for excellent behaviors at NES.
Accelerated Reader Goals for the 2nd 9 Weeks
Just one more week to reach the 2nd 9 weeks AR reading goals! As a reminder, 1st Grade should have 5 points and students in grades 2-5 should have 10 points. Keep reading Tigers!

Acaletics Winter Learning Packet
Acaletics Winter Learning Packets for math will be sent home with students in grades 3-5 this week. There is a very short practice page for students to complete each day. Students who return the packet on January 4th or January 5th will receive a special recognition and a special treat!

Just a reminder that Friday, December 17 is an Early Release Day and students' dismissal starts at 11:30 AM.

Reminder on Symptomatic Students
Please remember that the latest student guidelines for COVID-19 allow symptomatic students to return after:
- They receive a negative test and are asymptomatic;
- Ten (10) days have passed since symptom onset or positive test result, the student has had no fever for 24 hours and the student's other symptoms are improving; or
- The student receives written permission from a healthcare provider to return to school.

School Safety
All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks at school. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
