Another week is just around the corner! Many events and celebrations take place this week, and Thanksgiving Break is just two weeks away!

Don't forget that clocks are turned backward one hour on Sunday, November 7 at 2:00:00 am.


Book Fair

Book Fair is here! Students are invited to shop as follows:

  • 7:45-8:05 AM (limited to available capacity)
  • Media specials
  • PE specials with PE teacher’s permission
  • Family Night on Thursday, November 11 - fair is open to visitors

Online payments will greatly expedite the purchasing process! Here is a link to set up an e-wallet for your child. 



Fall Fundraiser 

Fall fundraiser packets were sent home with students on Monday, November 1. The fundraiser ends on Friday, November 12. Prizes will be given out to top shoppers. Thank you for supporting our school and making it possible for us to continue to hold events for our students!


Progress Reports

We are half way through the 2nd 9 weeks of school! Progress Reports will be sent home with students on Tuesday, November 9. 


Food Drive

The office of Student Services is holding a Food Drive to collect non-perishable food items to help families in need. Students can take items to their classrooms. Classroom with most items donated will receive a pizza party.


Veterans Day Ceremony

Our Veterans Day program for our students and staff will take place on Thursday, November 11 at 9 AM under our PE pavilion. Local veternas are invited to attend as well. A wall display is set up in our hallway to honor our Veterans. Thank you for your service!


School Advisory Council Meeting

Our scheduled SAC meeting will take place on Thursday, November 11 at 5 PM in room 137. Current state of school as well as upcoming events will be discussed.

Track and Field - Save the Date!

NES will be holding a Track and Field event on Friday, November 19. Parents are invited to attend - bring a lawn chair!

Reminder on Symptomatic Students

Please remember that the latest student guidelines for COVID-19 allow symptomatic students to return after:

  1. They receive a negative test and are asymptomatic;
  2. Ten (10) days have passed since symptom onset or positive test result, the student has had no fever for 24 hours and the student's other symptoms are improving; or
  3. The student receives written permission from a healthcare provider to return to school
Thank you for keeping sick students home so that we can keep everyone safe!

School Safety

All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks at school. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
