The first Florida Assessment of Students Thinking (FAST) Progress Monitoring window is now open. A letter explaining this assessment was sent home with students on Friday. Families can learn more about this test and check out the sample items at https://flfast.org/families.html



Accelerated Reader Goals

Our 1st 9 weeks AR goals to attend the end of the quarter AP party are as follows:

  • 1st grade - 3 points
  • 2nd and 3rd grade - 9 points
  • 4th and 5th grade - 11 points

Kindergarten students can earn their way into these events by learning all of their letters and sounds!


Chromebook Insurance

Just a reminder that the Chromebook insurance is due on August 31. This protection covers students’ Chromebooks in an instance of an accidental breakage.


School Hours

Our hours of operation are as follows:

  • 7:30 AM Office opens 
  • 7:40 AM Parent drop off starts
  • 7:50 AM Students may go to class
  • 8:10 AM Tardy Bell - Classes Begin. Students arriving at this time must be signed in at the front office.
  • 2:30 PM Cutoff for transportation changes and office checkouts
  • 2:50 PM Students’ dismissal begins
  • 3:15 PM Students who are not picked up will be escorted to the office

School-Family Communication

We are active on Facebook and Class DOJO. Please follow us on Facebook under NESTigers, or connect with your child’s homeroom teachers’s Class DOJO to stay connected. Additionally, a take home folder is used to send home important information with students. Weekly e-mail is sent to parents to keep everyone up to date with school events.

Student Council Parent Meeting 

Our Student Council beginnig of the year information meeting will take place on Thursday, August 24 at 3:15 PM in the Media Center


Fridays are Spirit Days

Let’s show our school spirit on Fridays! The classroom with the most school spirit on Friday will get to enjoy popsicles at the end of the day. New T-shirts are available to purchase at our office for $15. We also have a selection of previous years’ T-shirts, and these are $10. All proceeds go to support our PTO.

School Safety

All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
