Spring Pictures were sent home with students last week! If you have not seen them, please check your child’s backpack. If you do not wish to order, please kindly return the pictures. If you wish to order, please keep the pictures and send the payment in the envelope that is provided. All pictures and/or money are DUE MAY 20th!!!

Accelerated Reader 4th 9 Weeks Reward
Last day to earn AR points is Friday, May 20. The AR party for students who have met their 4th 9 weeks AR goal is on Tuesday, May 24. As a reminder - students should be taking the AR assessments independently to qualify for the reward party.
4th 9 Weeks PBIS Days
Here are the PBIS dates and activities for the final 9 weeks of school. Students must be in good standing with discipline to attend.
Early Release Day - May 26
May 26 is the last day of school, and it is an early release day. Students are dismissed at 11:30 AM.

Zonewaiver Applications for School Choice are Now Available
The zone waiver applications are now available for the 2022-2023 school year. If your child is attending NES currently and has a zonewaiver on file, you will not need to fill out another one for the upcoming school year.

To get better at reading, students should read 20 minutes each day. Students are encouraged to take reading as well as vocabulary tests on Accelerated Reader (AR) at https://global-zone05.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/73214
Free Books!
There is still time to sign up for the free book delivery program from the Florida Department of Education. Families can sign up to receive a book by mail during each month of the school year. Here is the link to enroll: https://www.newworldsreading.com/fl/en/home.html.
2022-2023 Calendar
The School Board has approved the instructional calendar for the 2022-2023 school year. Check it out!
School Safety
All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks at school. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
