Welcome to Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! NES is excited to kick off the Celebrate Literacy Week by many exciting reading related activities at school and online. Various guest readers will visit our classrooms to read to students, and we have also planned several buddy-reading activities across the campus. Families are invited to visit our Media Center for a Family Read Night on Thursday from 5-6 PM. Finally, our wonderful Reading Coach, Mrs. Thomas has prepared Daily Tips for Families that will be sent home to help everyone celebrate Literacy Week at home as well!

 

Sunday, January 26

• Kick Off of the Nightly Bedtime Story on NES Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/NESTigers). Tune in at 7:30 each night this week to listen to a bedtime story! 

 

Monday, January 27

• Individual APTT Meetings - Mrs. Gonzalez, Mrs. Wisener, Mrs. Cook

• Bedtime Story on NES Facebook Page at 7:30 PM

 

Tuesday, January 28 - 100 Days of School in KG

• Individual APTT Meetings - Mrs. Lowe, Mrs. Varnadore, Mrs. Wagoner

• After school tutoring 3:15-4:30 PM (pickup is at 4:30 from the parent pickup circle). Students who received and returned the permission slips should stay (4th grade ELA, 5th grade Math and Science).

• NES Band Practice 3:15 - 5:15 PM

• Bedtime Story on NES Facebook Page at 7:30 PM

 

Wednesday, January 29

• Individual APTT Meetings - Ms. Whitehead, Mrs. Stokes, Mrs. Love

• 5th Grade Dolly Hand Field Trip

Thursday, January 30

• Individual APTT Meetings - Mrs. Steiert, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Gaus
