Say Something Week

As part of the Sandy Hook Promise, NES will be participating in Say Something  Week to bring awareness to recognizing the signs of someone being at-risk, and how to  “say something” to a trusted adult to get help. 


School Climate Survey

Your feedback is important to us!  A link to the 2021-2022 Climate Survey will be sent via e-mail to all parents on Monday. Paper copies are available in our front office to complete. 


FSA Parent Night - Thursday, March 31

Parents are invited to our FSA Parent Night to discuss the upcoming Florida Standards Assessment on Thursday, March 31 at 5:00 PM in our Media Center. We hope you get to attend!


Florida Standards Assessment Dates 

Florida Standards Assessment in grades 3-5 starts on April 5. For the best testing experience, it is imperative that students are at school, on time during their test days. Students cannot be admitted to testing rooms once the test sessions have started. A parent letter explaining the testing procedures will be sent home with students this week.

Students can benefit from practicing their math skills on following sites:

 To get better at reading, students should read 20 minutes each day. Students are encouraged to take reading as well as vocabulary tests on Accelerated Reader (AR) at https://global-zone05.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/73214 

 


Free Books!

The School Board has approved the instructional calendar for the 2022-2023 school year. Check it out!



School Safety

All students have access to the Fortify FL reporting app on their Chromebooks at school. Fortify FL posters posted around campus to remind students they can report suspicious activity at any time using the app.
